A Christmas celebration with a thrilling twist.
CLIQMAS is the annual Christmas event of CLIQ DIGITAL, a company that each year aims to offer its employees a unique experience centred around appreciation, a vision for the future, and fostering connections.
In previous years, CLIQMAS was hosted at various event venues in and around Amsterdam. This year the celebration took place at a truly special location: one of Boot10’s festive party boats. The chosen theme: “CLIQ Voyage, Roaring 20’s Style.” During the cruise, a thematic game element was woven into the evening to achieve the goals of connecting and engaging guests.
By closely aligning with the target audience and the event’s objectives, the theme was brought fully to life with a murder mystery, a glamorous 1920s dress code, live musical entertainment, diverse activities, and stunning styling, creating a truly memorable Christmas party.
Murder Mystery
The era of the Roaring 20s perfectly reflected the organisation’s vision for the future: creative, dynamic, and successful. The event was designed to celebrate their new future strategy, entirely in the style of the 1920s. For one evening, the boat was transformed into a Roaring 20s setting, complete with a champagne tower, navy blue carpet, beautifully set dinner tables with crystal glassware and silver candelabras. Guests instantly stepped back in time, elegantly dressed in stylish flapper dresses and tuxedos, accompanied throughout the evening by a live jazz band and Charleston dancers.
But this Christmas party came with a thrilling plot twist. During the welcome speech from “The Captain,” something unexpected happened: a mysterious “special guest” stumbled into the room and dramatically collapsed on the floor. This marked the start of an exciting Murder Mystery. Unbeknownst to the guests, 12 actors were hidden among them, each a potential suspect. Every table was assigned its own “suspect,” and by asking questions and solving interactive puzzles, participants could gather clues. The most active table with the most correct answers won the game. Once the culprit was revealed after thorough investigation, a winning table was crowned and the real party could finally begin.
Party & speakeasy
After a small transformation, the party space opened into a lively room with a live DJ and an exclusive speakeasy bar. Do you know the secret password guarded by the doorman? Use it to gain access to the speakeasy, where guests could enjoy thrilling games and delicious cocktails. Once back on shore, the CLIQ’ers stepped into the 21st century again, ready to enjoy modern comforts.
Every guest experienced a unique journey into the world of the Roaring 20s, complete with a Murder Mystery to spark deeper connections with colleagues and an atmospheric setting that captured the true spirit of the era.
